Pre Matric Scholarship For Students of Minority Communities

The Ministry of Minority Affairs has introduced a Pre Matric Scholarship program for students belonging to minority communities who are enrolled in Class 1 to Class 10 at government or private schools, which also includes residential government institutions and eligible private institutions that have been chosen and officially announced by the respective State Government and Union Territory Administration in a transparent manner. This program aims to award a total of thirty (30) lakh scholarships, which will be distributed as both “Fresh” Scholarships and Renewal Scholarships.

The scholarship will be granted to students who have achieved a minimum of 50% marks in their most recent final examination, and whose parents/guardians’ combined annual income from all sources is not more than Rs. 1.00 lakh.

The program’s objective is to motivate parents belonging to minority communities to enroll their children in school, alleviate the financial challenges associated with their education, and continue their commitment to helping their children complete their schooling.
