Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Uttarakhand, offers prayers at Parvati Kund and launch big development projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Uttarakhand on 12th Oct 2023. The Prime Minister performed pooja and darshan at the Parvati Kund in and said “I prayed for the good health of every Indian and the strengthening of the resolution of Viksit Bharat. I asked for blessings so that all the aspirations of the people of Uttrakhand would be fulfilled”.  After that he sought blessings and meditated for some time in front of Adi Kailash peak, the abode of Lord Shiva.

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami accompanied the PM throughout his full-day trip to the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Prime Minister Modi made a stop at the border village of Gunji and engaged in conversations with both the local residents and security personnel. Prime Minister Modi also participated in an exhibition showcasing locally made products and artifacts.

The Prime Minister inaugurated infrastructure initiatives with an estimated total value of approximately Rs 4,200 crore in a range of sectors, such as rural development, roads, power, irrigation, drinking water, horticulture, education, healthcare, and disaster management in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand.

During his speech, PM Modi also highlighted India’s remarkable progress on the international stage, stating, ‘The world is increasingly acknowledging India and the contributions of its citizens.’ Reflecting on the past periods of despair, Prime Minister Modi emphasized India’s influential presence in the global arena, despite the numerous challenges it faces. He discussed India’s global recognition for its role in presiding over the G20 and hosting the summit. The Prime Minister attributed the nation’s achievements to its people, as they elected a stable and robust central government after a considerable period. He expressed his global presence with the trust and confidence of India’s 1.4 billion citizens.

Later he tweeted on X about the Government’s commitment towards development of Uttarakhand.
